Hello my adorable Thinkers!
As we are approaching the new year, I have been reflecting on this past year quite a bit. So many things have happened, but almost none of them happened the way I thought they would. I thought my sister would be married, I thought that I would have moved out of my parents house, I thought I would have a preceptor (for my apprenticeship), and several other things. Even though these things haven’t happened, all year God has brought a Bible verse into my life over and over again. Habakkuk 2:3 “For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay.”
I feel that this verse is very applicable to my past year because God has shown me many things that are to happen in my life. My tendency is to take these visions or goals God has given me and try to make them happen right away. Sometimes that is God’s will but sometimes God wants us to take a step back and wait for Him to show us the next step.
It says in Isaiah 40:31 “Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.” God has promised that He will fulfill what He has shown us, and if we wait on Him, He will give us the strength we need to run the race that is set before us.
So in your life, maybe God has shown you something, whether it is that you are going to be married one day, or maybe the career that you are supposed to go into. If it is from God, He will make it happen, but it will only happen in His timing. Wait for Him, because when He says it is time, He will give you the strength to see it through.
Until next time! ~The Pondering Panda
